Alexey Trofimov is a Russian landscape photographer, traveller and guide.
Since his early childhood years, Alexey has had a keen interest in travelling. Later on in his youth, this was added to by a powerful passion for 'the photograph'.
Landscape photography is his main creative interest. His projects usually involve shooting remote landscapes and difficult places to reach on the lake Baikal. Besides he spends a significant proportion of his time shooting in Mongolia, in the Altai Mountains, Khakassia and China.
Alexey describes his main objective as a photographer - "to show not only the beauty, but also the fragility of the world around us, which is very easy to destroy".
His photos and articles have been published in various publications such as: Daily Mail, National Geographic, Caffeinated Photographers Magazine, Natur, Weather Channel, Continent & Expedition, Photoimage, The One, Irkutsk couloirs, Around the World, RosPhoto, Esquire, ProPhotos.ru, The Telegraph, Days Japan, Mirror and others.
