Jack Coulter (born 1994) is an abstract expressionist painter and photographer from Belfast, Northern Ireland.
Coulter grew up surrounded by abstract art and from an early age became influenced by post-war 1940s abstract expressionism and his aunt Christine, who was an abstract printmaker. In 2015, he gained a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree.
In 2015, he provided the artwork for singer-songwriter SOAK's debut album Before We Forgot How to Dream, which was nominated for the 2015 Mercury Music Prize. The CD booklet and vinyl sleeve consists of three of Coulter's photographs and two of his paintings.
At only 21 years old, Coulter's original painting titled '21' was bought exclusively for the Arts Council Collection, the UK's most widely seen collection of modern and contemporary art, making him the youngest artist to be featured. The collection consists of works by Pablo Picasso, Francis Bacon, Andy Warhol, Robert Rauschenberg, Sam Francis, Damien Hirst, Tracey Emin.
Coulter has also produced a limited-edition print exclusively for the 2015 and 2016 GQ Men of The Year Awards, which was received by winners and presenters of the awards such as The Rolling Stones, Elton John, Samuel L. Jackson, Stella McCartney and Sam Smith to name only a few.

Coulter's painting attracted worldwide attention and acclaim, it was featured in The Independent, The Guardian, BBC, Yahoo, BT, AOL, SBTV and Digital Spy.
Coulter has synesthesia, a rare sensory, neurological phenomenon which has a profound effect on his work. In an interview with The Independent, Coulter's earliest memories of his condition date back to childhood, where he recalls the sound of his own heartbeat resonating pulses of colour.
Coulter's artwork has a following of over 58,000 followers on Instagram, his work has been featured in The Guardian, The Independent, The Huffington Post, VICE, i-D, Dazed & Confused, GQ, Urban Outfitters, Flaunt, Huck Magazine, Magnetic, Beautiful Savage and Kaltblut Magazine.
